Domaine Pellehaut: a long-standing family history
Domaine Pellehaut takes its name from the château, which has been home to a family history spanning several centuries. The Béraut family has been here for over four centuries. Wine production began in the 1970s. Since then, the estate has been passed down through the generations and production has intensified without compromising on quality (quite the contrary).
Environmental commitments
Domaine Pellehaut is committed to producing high-quality wines that respect the environment. To this end, it has committed to HVE environmental certification, which involves respecting biodiversity, fertilization, and sustainable water resource management. For over 50 years, the vines have been fertilized with a mixture of manure and grape marc.
This commitment is historic, as Domaine Pellehaut is one of the first 300 estates to achieve level 3 (the highest level) of HVE certification.
Pellehaut wines: the result of a profound restructuring
In the 1980s, the arrival of a new member of the Béraut family on the estate turned the vineyard upside down. Until then, production had focused on Armagnac and bulk white wine. Mathieu Béraut decided to introduce red grape varieties to a plot of the vineyard and greatly diversified the white grape varieties. It was at this point that the Pellehaut estate began producing and distributing bottled wine.
Today, there are 15 different grape varieties, including 8 reds. This variety of grape varieties allows Pellehaut to offer a diverse range of wines. The different vintages offered by the estate allow you to discover the fruits of local labor. Discover the flavors of Gascony now with this Pellehaut red wine.
