Domaine de Joy, a rich history

Domaine de Joy was founded by a Swiss family who fell in love with the Gers region. Over the years, Domaine de Joy decided to abandon mixed farming to focus mainly on vine cultivation, particularly white grape varieties. Today, the fourth consecutive generation of the family works at Domaine de Joy. The expertise is passed down from generation to generation to ensure authentic products. The 170 hectares dedicated to the estate demonstrate the importance that Domaine de Joy has gained over the years and through the work of different generations.

Terroir of the Domaine de Joÿ

Located in the heart of Gascony, more precisely in the commune of Panjas, the estate covers 170 hectares. The terroir is typical of Bas Armagnac. It is mainly composed of clay-siliceous soils. The vast majority of the estate enjoys a beautiful south-facing exposure, which promotes the natural development of the grapes. This natural development in turn allows for the production of aromatic and fruity wines. The Domaine de Joy is located in an oceanic climate with an influence from the Pyrenees.

Domaine de Joy, committed to the environment

Domaine de Joy's commitment to the environment began in the early 2000s. In 2005, it committed to "Sustainable Agriculture" to promote respect for the environment. As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, in 2019, Domaine de Joy was certified "High Environmental Value Level 3." This certification recognizes products from farms that are voluntarily committed to respecting the environment.
